From the 31 st of January till the 7 th of February in Hurghada an International chess tournament Hurghada open 2025 was held.
Organised by Phoenix Chess School and sponsored by Open Trade.
This tournament had 136 participants from 17 different federations. This tournament consisted of 30 foreign players, this a record in Egyptian tournaments. From 12 main prizes — 6 prizes were won by Foreigners and 6 prizes were won by egyptian players, the tournament was hosted in a friendly atmosphere. The participants are very happy with organising of the tournament, the playing venue, and the prizes that were handed out.
