В этом турнире приняли участие 133 шахматиста из 17 стран мира. На турнир приехало 30 иностранных шахматистов, что является рекордом для Опен турниров в Египте. Из 12 основных призёров турнира — 6 призовых мест заняли иностранные шахматисты, 6 — египтяне. Турнир прошёл в дружелюбной атмосфере. Шахматисты остались очень довольны организацией турнира, местом проведения и призами.

This tournament had 136 participants from 17 different federations. This tournament consisted of 30 foreign players, this a record in Egyptian tournaments. From 12 main prizes — 6 prizes were won by Foreigners and 6 prizes were won by egyptian players, the tournament was hosted in a friendly atmosphere. The participants are very happy with organising of the tournament, the playing venue, and the prizes that were handed out.
